MISTY BORLAND PHIFFER
Misty Borland Phiffer is an experienced personal injury and wrongful death litigation attorney. She focused the past 24 years on fighting for the rights of hurt people and their families. Born and raised in Midland, Texas, Misty chose to return to Midland following her graduation from Baylor Law School in 1994.
She immediately began work as a personal injury trial attorney specializing in large personal injury and wrongful death cases, including those arising from trucking and car wrecks and industrial and oilfield injuries at the firm founded by her parents. She has since founded her own firm where she works solely on cases like these to protect the rights of injured individuals and enforce the safety rules against negligent individuals or companies.
Misty is a long time member and past President of the Permian Basin Trial Lawyers Association (2016-2017) (Vice President 2015-2016). She is a graduate of the Keenan Ball Trial College (2017).She is also a member of the Texas Bar Association, the New Mexico Bar Association, the Midland County Bar Association, and is past President of The Midland County Young Lawyers Association.
She is a sustaining member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. She has served on the Texas Trial Lawyers Association Advocates Diversity Committee which was formed to encourage diversity in the membership. She served on the Texas Grievance Committee for District 16b from 2007-2011, a committee which is charged with the responsibility of investigating claims of wrongdoing against attorneys in our community and recommending disciplinary actions if such are needed. She served as Chair for this committee from 2008-2009. She is also a member of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice.
A life long West Texan, Misty takes a great deal of pride in her community and the work she and her
team have done to help make it a safer, better place to live and raise a family.
